Every label your team prints usually comes with a detour: a print dialog, a printer to pick, a button to click. Multiply that by hundreds of shipments a day and it adds up. This update removes the detour with Print Stations, and adds customer invoices, HS code warnings at pack, and a Product Title block for your labels.
Print Stations: Print Without the Print Dialog
A Print Station pairs a computer running the SKUSavvy Print app with a printer. Once it's set up, anything sent to that station prints right away, with no print dialog and no printer to choose. Packers stay focused on the box in front of them, and the right label comes out of the right printer every time.
To get started, open your account menu, choose Print Stations, and follow the steps to install the app and pair a printer. Print Stations is experimental, so we'd love to hear how it works on your floor.
Customer Invoices From Any Order
Some customers want a paper invoice in the box, and some shipments need one. You can now print an invoice from any order with Print Invoice. It uses an invoice template you can edit, so it carries your branding and the details your customers expect. Developers can send totalTax and taxesIncluded on outboundOrderCreate and outboundOrderUpdate so the invoice shows the right tax.
Catch Missing HS Codes Before You Buy a Label
A missing HS code can hold an international package at customs. International shipments now show which items are missing an HS code for the destination country at pack, before you buy the label, so you can fix it while the box is still on the bench. For custom items, SKUSavvy offers the customs info you last used for the same item, and you can apply it in one click. Developers can look it up with the lastUsedCustomQty query.
Product Titles on Your Labels
SKUs and barcodes are great for scanners, but people read names. Add the new Product Title block to your item and quantity labels, and anyone on your team can tell what's on the shelf at a glance.
